A description of memorial poem "Sister":

"SISTER" is a short poem written for young children to express their feelings for a sister who has passed away.  It is an acrostic poem where every letter in the word 'S-I-S-T-E-R' is the beginning of a new line within the poem.

The words focus more on the joy that this sister brought, rather than focusing on the sorrow of her death.  It is an excellent poem for siblings to share during a funeral service, or to print upon a memorial program.  It can also be paired with a favorite photo within a picture frame as a lasting tribute.
