A few lines from memorial poem
"Our Twin Hearts Once
Beat Together":
"We shared everything between us
A special sibling trust
Conceived in love together
By parents destined for us
Who waited for us daily
Gratefully praising God above
Anticipating our tiny footprints
Our sloppy kisses and baby hugs
Whose love grew deeply tender
While we daily changed and grew
Who dreamed the dreams of all we'd be
As parents always do
While our hearts beat close together
And we touched each other's faces
Twisted and turned as we played together
In this warmest and safest of places
Growing there we didn't know
Our time together would be so brief
That our births would usher in equal parts
Of inexpressible joy and heart-breaking grief
For life is such a fragile thing
And for us, this couldn't be more true
For it was life-and-death's struggle that separated us
You from me, and I from you
Yet I fought as hard and bravely
As my body would allow
But God had other plans for me
And I'm with him in heaven now
So you will grow up knowing
You are part of a special bond
Two hearts that beat together
Till I left for heaven's beyond
Please know that I'll be "cheering you on"
Watching over you with God above
Proudly watching all the ways you'll grow..."
